I was sick yesterday and I threw up 7 times, now today I felt all right, not 100% but all right. Then, a few hours ago, I started having trouble breathing, I have to take big deep breathes in order to breath. I also started hyper ventilating a few minutes ago but I calmed down. I don’t have asthma or any other breathing problem, I do have limes disease if that helps at all. Any advice on what to do?

Best answer:

Answer by Scott
It is impossible to diagnose you with the info you gave. Anybody that says they can…is either lying rf thinks thier smarter than they really are. I say; if you continue to have symptoms, see your Dr. that is the only way to daignose you properly, at least with the info you gave. I am a Resp Practitioner, and fell for you. But your being to vague with your question…sorry

Question by Michelle: How does the production of acorns by oak trees affect Lyme disease in humans?
Homework help

Best answer:

Answer by Tiki
Lyme disease is transmitted by ticks on animals. If there is more food available for these animals, such as acorns, ticks will have more chance of transmitting the disease (to animals and eventually back to ticks) thus creating a hot zone of disease. Sooner or later a human that passes by will get bitten by a tick.

Question by Joe R: What illness could this be?
So for the past week I have been feeling really tired and weak at times, so tired i feel like i want to pass out. but the feeling comes and goes, its not constant. also on a few nights my body starts feeling really heavy and i can’t sleep. i got bloodwork done, and they tested for mono and limes disease, but both came up negative. what illness could this be?? most of the day i feel fine, but then all of a sudden i get so tired i feel like passing out..

Best answer:

Answer by SteelersRNumberOne
anemia?

if they did blood tests, then your iron level (red blood cells) would be low..

it could be something simple like you’re not eating balanced meals or not getting enough rest..

try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.. it’ll help if you go to sleep at the same time every night and wake up at the same time each morning..

if you still don’t feel better after a few days, then call your doctor back and see if he/she could do another blood test..

you can ask your doctor about iron pills too..

good luck..

Question by best handle ever: My doctor ordered a routine lab req for blood work. Will it detect Lyme Disease?
Here’s a link to a scan of the requisition form.

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z36/thighmister/req.jpg

I don’t want to bother my doctor by explaining that I think I might have been bitten by a tick in a Lyme-rampant area, and am now feeling tired, because I JUST saw him for a check-up before I went on the fateful tick vaca.

Is there a box I can check off for a Lyme test? (I don’t see anything except “blood culture.”) Would my doctor be dissed?

Would the orders on the req be checked against a database anyway though?

Best answer:

Answer by wildwoman
The lab will only perform the tests your doctor has checked off on the form. If you suspect that you have been exposed to Lyme disease tell your doctor! He can order a Lyme titer. It (LYME) will NOT be detected with the tests that have been ordered. Good luck.

Question by Shnake: Can lyme disease be treated or cured?
I’m a female in my mid 20s. I’m terrified that I have Lyme Disease. I had a tick on me when I was 8 or so but I’ve never been tested. I’m terrified that it’s going to be a death sentence…

Best answer:

Answer by stilldeveloping
Oh my god, calm down. I contracted Lyme Disease when I was 13, and wasn’t even treated until I was 15. I’m 27 now, and obviously still alive. After the tick bite, I developed a rash around the site, and then it reproduced all over my body. I had what I thought was the worst flu of my life, and ran a really high fever for about a week. That’s stage 1 of the disease. Because I was untreated, it progressed to stage 2 – which for me meant joint swelling (sometimes for 2-3 months), and numbness in my leg. My knees were HUGE, and they often had 1c. of fluid drained off. When they finally figured out it was Lyme, they treated me with Docycyclin for about 1 month. I have had follow-up treatments (2), but I’m fine now. It is EXTREMELY rare for anyone to die from the disease. I will still test positive, even though I’m treated. So, if you’ve had a similiar experience, get tested for Lyme. It’s a dehibilitating disease, but not a death sentance. Do some research.

Question by Jennifer: Do dogs get a bull’s eye rash if they get Lyme disease?
I’m fostering a dog from the Humane Society, and her coat is really thin at the moment due to pregnancy and malnutrition. I was bathing her today, and I noticed a bull’s eye about the size of a quarter on her hind quarters. I can’t find any information that would tell me if dogs get the same rash that humans do if bitten by an infected tick.

She’s been very sick with a kidney infection, but she’s on antibiotics, and she’s feeling much better.
The more I look at it, the more I think it might be ringworm. I noticed it while I was giving her a bath, and now she’s drying, and the rash is getting a bit crusty looking. I tried taking a picture of it, but now that she’s dry, it’s harder to see, and she won’t be still long enough for me to move the fur out of the way to get a pic.

Best answer:

Answer by sillybuttmunky
yes they do. I called my vet just last week asking the same question.
