How can I help raise awareness about lyme disease?
I want to help people with lyme disease and help raise awareness through group meetings. I believe my sister had lyme most of her life but recently passed away due to cancer. She was diagnosed with a number of psychiatric conditions but her symptoms were not usual. I also have it and when active it causes me extreme anxiety and forgetfulness. I just want to do something about this. . . . . many people may be diagnosed with mental illness when, in fact, they have lyme disease.

Regarding helping raise awareness about Lyme disease: Are you involved with any of the on-line or in-person Lyme support groups? It’s a great way to band together with others to help each other AND spread the word.
www. lymedisease. org is a great website to start out with. I especially recommend the “News, events & blogs” section, to find out more about Lyme activism.
