Just finding a tick on you will not give you lyme disease. If the tick had bit you and locked into your skin, it is possible to get lyme disease if the tick is infected. The CDC website can explain Lyme disease in more detail.

most likely but the real concern here is why do you even have a tic on you in the first place. . . . ew

First of all not all ticks are carriers of lyme disease. Qoute from WebMD web page:
“In the United States, the two types of ticks that carry Lyme disease bacteria are:
* Deer ticks, which spread Lyme disease in the northeastern and upper Midwestern U. S.
* Western black-legged ticks, which spread Lyme disease along the Pacific coast-mostly northern California and Oregon. ”

And second. . It is better not to get hyped over whether or not you have gotten infected with the disease. You might be just worrying yourself over nothing. If your that unsure if you have; then go talk with your doctor or other health care professional.

No, you will die because you are not very bright and haven’t the knowledge of the world to survive.

NO! Usually the chances are small. You can manifest your self into things. don’t worry about it. Not all ticks carry lime disease. If it was small then you caught it in time usually you would have to have them nasty parasites on you for more than 24 hours before they can make you sick. If you would get sick from it in the first place. Not all ticks carry the same disease. some carry spotted rocky mountian fever. depending on where you live also. Don’t worry about it. Life has many more things to offer, if you worry to death you can worry to an early grave. Don’t worry. any first signs of illiness just go to the doctor to be sure. Don’t worry chances are you didn’t get lime disease.

To remove the tick, slather it with vaseline. Because it won’t be able to breathe, it will disengage itself from your body. Then, go see your doc. He/she will prescribe antibiotics. I doubt you’ll die from lime disease.

Don’t hit the tick with flame or try to suffocate it. A noted doctor said recently on TV that this is the number one mistake — based on old wive’s tales — that people make when trying to remove a tick. The reason this is wrong, is because these things cause the tick to regurgitate what has been in its gut into your wound. This can include other people’s blood, for sure bacteria, possibly viruses etc. He said pull it out straightaway, before it has a chance to regurgitate, and then remove the mouth parts or head, whatever is left behind.

1st, Was the tick actually attached? If not then no worries since the skin barrier is intact. If is is attached, did you remove it? (Including its head) Go see a doctor and get on an antibiotic and you should be fine.

Nope, but if you’re really worried about it, go get checked out by a doctor. Have a nice day!

No. . . My grandmother had one on here one time and she went to the DR and got a shot which will take out the infection where he was at. . .

i dont know if youre going to die, talk to your doctor, but the best way to remove ticks are plucking them off with tweezers. I watched it on Oprah and i usually dont watch it but Dr. Oz is amazing and hes on every monday i think. Anyway he said pluck the tick off, they head might stick in your skin but thats not the bad part the body holds everyones blood and bacteria. You can take the head off but it doesnt really matter. JUST DONT AGRIVATE IT BY TOUCHING IT OR BURNING IT!!! they will release their toxins and infect you with what theyre holding. Goodluck!
