Lime disease question?
I was recently bitten by a tick, not really sure whether it was a deer tick or dog tick. But anyways, i was wondering if a lime disease rash has to have a ring around it in order for it to be considered “lime disease”. I just have a little red around the bite, not a ring like the pictures on some medical websites

No, not all people would get so-called “bulls-eye rash”. You should go to your doctor, lyme disease is easily preventable with a short course of antibiotics (doxycycline).

Erythema mirgrans, the so called bull’s eye rash will take about a week to a month to develope. About 80% percent of those who are infected with Lyme disease will have a rash.
Not every tic is infected. There many different types of tics. The deer tic is known to carry the disease. It is a very small tic, about the size of the tip of a pencil.
To have some inflammation from a tic bite is common.
The best thing is not to worry. You can call your primary care doctor and speak with them. The treatment is easy with doxycycline for 21 days.
good luck
