What do you do when you want your dog back?

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Question by : What do you do when you want your dog back?
So today, a guy came at 6 am to collect my precious dog, Fielder. Here is the story, you don’t have to read if you don’t want.

It all started November 09. My dogs got into a horrible fight. Fielder bit off a small chunk of his ear off while in the fight. I wasn’t even there when it happened. My mom said that my little sister Elaina (1 year old) started screaming. It wasn’t funny screaming, it was blood curdling scream. If my mom wasn’t there, my little sister might have gotten severely hurt. Or worse, she could have gotten murdered. That night, I went over to my best friend’s home for a slumber party. The next morning, my mother picked me up from her house. She told me in the car that we needed to get rid of Fielder. He severely hurt Jackson. (He’s doing fine now though.) I started balling my eyes out. He was the best animal I knew. My mother told me that a man’s companion ( a dog.) died of lime disease. He decided that he would take the dog off of our hands. Naturally, my mom said yes because she didn’t want him to be put to sleep.

So that’s the story. I know its stupid, but what’s your guys’ story? I think that it will make me feel better instead of me crying all day. Thanks so much!
Bye!

I hope your dog doesn’t repeat his behavior in his new home. Give it some time kiddo! I promise it will get a little easier. Sorry! Some choices as pet owners are really tough to make.

Q&A: Does Lyme Disease come back on it’s own or do you need to have it come back by a tick bite?

Friday, August 26th, 2011

Question by Chaod: Does Lyme Disease come back on it’s own or do you need to have it come back by a tick bite?
My son was diagnosed with Lyme Meningitis last summer. He is having the basic symptoms of a fever, drowsiness, lack of hunger, chills etc. I just wanted to know if the Lyme can come back and affect him again without a tick bite or he needs to have a tick bite him in order to get it again. Thanks!

I’m not 100% sure, but a disease is usually difined as a cronic or reoccuring ailment. So my guess is that it can come back on its own. I would also say that regardless of the nature of his symptoms you should probably get him to a doctor A.S.A.P.

Can Lyme disease come back after treatment?

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Question by Nicolette Huth: Can Lyme disease come back after treatment?
I had it for a little over month maybe even 2 months before I was diagnosed. I had to take 3 pills of antibotics a day for 3 weeks but I usually would only take 1 pill a day and sometimes even no pill a day from being busy. During the medication the symptoms went away and now that I’m done medication it seems like they’re coming back? So could that be the lyme desease again?

Lyme disease has a special bond, the doctor has to know how to test for it, the type of antibiotics to use and for how long, in general he has to know what he’s doing. Most do not.

I’m a medlabtech and have worked in a large med facility for years. My own daughter had Lyme’s. She was tested but it come back negative. I looked at her symptoms and told her there’s been a mistake, she has Lyme’s and needs treatment.
Of course the doctor balked because she said my “dad said so and he’s in the med field too” so, being stubborn the doctor wouldn’t reliant. I told her which doctor to go to and don’t tell him the past, allow him to get his own finding. Sure enough, she tested negative but he was loose enough o retest and find out why it came back negative.
In time she had to be flushed with meds and retested. She’s O.K. now I don’t know of anyone that it came back on, unless they never had it to start with or ?

Should I take him back??

Monday, February 7th, 2011

Question by hick_chick: Should I take him back??
This is kinda strange, I just posted a question about my old ponys color and then got a call from his current owner.
I got this pony when he was 4, he was 100lbs over weight and just a pasture mate.
I trained him to ride and drive, cleared him of lime disease and got him looking great.

He became a chronic founder case due to his over weight issue.
I gave him to a family that would be able to handle is condition and that had a young son that could ride him.

She wants me to take him back (after over a year) because she can’t handle is weight anymore. I said that I wanted to be the first to know if she didnt want him anymore.

I just dont know if I should take him back.
My dad loved him and would love to drive him again someday.

Tips on getting weight off and caring for a chronic pony?

We have both done everything for his weight, the only thing that worked for me was: Hay only!
Would you take him back and do you think he will ever be able to drive again?

Any input!
I really loved this pony but I have 2 others.
One that hated the pony
One in training
And I am starting college in fall. I will be staying home though.

I just dont want to see him go to a bad place.
I didnt ask to be made into an idiot!
Who the heck cares about my spelling its not the issue!!!

In fact I put over $ 1,000 in savings into this ponies health and issues.

I could no longer pay for his health as I didnt have a job then, I do now and am fully prepared to help him.

She just has too many horses to manage a single diet for one horse. She took him to hospitals got x-rays and found that the bones had not shifted yet.

I wouldnt put a cart on him with his health and I have been around horses for many years, just wanted help not nasty comments!!!!!!

Question by kashallgonna: Open sores on scalp and back, blood tests come back normal, medications don’t work, Dr. thought it might be…
shingles, limes disease, ringworm, MS. Been tested over and over, all results come back -ve. She also has no energy to even make coffee or get out of bed some days, hands tingle, somedays she has right sided numbness, (with no physical signs of stroke). She is not an angry person and now is very moody and can fly off the handle with anything. Goes in for last MRI in hopes that something will show up. Professor in a university, can’t go to work because of open sores and weakness. Also, in arbitration with gov’t over past job. Could all of these things be stress related, to me there is something more. But what?

that poor lady.it didn;t start stress related but it;s probably contributing to it now and your body does not heal good when we are under lots of pressure..that is strange they can;t find out what is causing all the sores to break out.i lost 50pnds and no energy and i too took 6tests MRI;s and the works.it took 4yrs to finally find out that i have a cyst on my byle dycts.if she has university hosp in your area maybe they could help..they have dr.’ from all the world and they are usually the best,, good luck to your friend and thank you for being there for her…..LOL

I have been getting small headaches in the back and sides of my head for a couple of months. The pain usually?

Question by rainboots866: I have been getting small headaches in the back and sides of my head for a couple of months. The pain usually?
moves. I’m 14 and my knees, hips, and elbows sometimes have pain in them. Is this something to be worried about? Maybe a brain tumor, or limes disease?

Best answer:

Answer by lor
You should tell your parents if you haven’t already and discuss making a doctor’s apt. Most of the time they can’t find anything wrong with you. Or it’s something simple you would of never thought of. My sister just found out she is anemic and she was thinking she had something really bad. She has to take iron pills and change her diet. So, only test and your doctor will able to help you. Ironically, I have a brain tumor but it’s benign. So, stop worrying.
