Q&A: tick head removal in a dog body is off head might be attached?

Question by Kimberly: tick head removal in a dog body is off head might be attached?
My daughter had noticed that my dog had this thing by his ear. it was huge and it was greenish white in color. She pulled it off and showed me here it was a tick. i could not tell if the head was with it or not seeming that it had black colored slimy stuff coming from where the head should be. I looked at the spot where she had pulled it. Of course its all puffy and I can not tell if there is a head there. I do not have the money for a vet and if I did it’s the holiday weekend. Can someone tell me how am I to know if there is a head under that skin and how can I remove the head my self ? I had used tweezers to poke around and I still cannot see anything. I am afraid by the look of it that there possibly is a head underneath. It does not look irritated nor does it appear to have the bulls eye look of lime disease
how will i know if my dog gets lymes before i can get him to the vet

A Guide to Transfer Factors and Immune System Health: 2nd edition, Helping the body heal itself by strengthening cell-mediated immunity

In the second edition of this popular book, Dr. White takes readers on a tour of the human immune system, explores the nature of immune disorders from cancer to HIV and presents evidence that immune messengers called transfer factors can help the body beat a wide variety of diseases for which effective treatments are lacking. In language that is easy to follow, Dr. White explains how transfer factors help the body fight viruses (herpes, hepatitis C, HPV, HIV), mycobacteria (tuberculosis), cell-wall deficient bacteria (Lyme), cancers, autoimmune diseases and other conditions. Like vaccines but safer, transfer factors can be used to immunize the public against diseases before they spread. This book is an enjoyable read about a fascinating top

Can a tick spread lyme disease without actually entering the body?

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

Question by Duble: Can a tick spread lyme disease without actually entering the body?
I found one a day after I was hiking and just flicked it off – it wasn’t inside my skin and was not “engorged” with blood at all. It was still nymph size. There is a tiny red mark there, but I do have sensitive skin.

It’s possible that it didn’t actually bite you. I would watch out for any signs such as a rash (bullseye), fatigue, sore joints and muscles and flu like symptoms (signs of lyme disease). Sometimes, people don’t always get a rash. Fortunately, I did. I contracted the disease 2x…go figure. Good luck.

Lyme disease rash: Symptom like a bull’s eye appearance on the body

In the United States, most of the people are suffering from the Lyme Disease and this disease is now growing rapidly in all over the world.

Lyme disease rash occurs due to the tick bite. It seems like an oval shaped reddish circle and a minute dot could be found straight at the center of the rash. The disease is a major concern and so it becomes very important to compare the rash you received with the other known skin rashes that do not relates to the Lyme, which means the ringworm. Ringworm (Tinea) is actually a fugal infection, which the physician must have to test for the fungus. The ringworm can also be treated with the anti-fungal creams. However, the Lyme disease rash is a kind of symptom that makes a person ill, gifting him a disease that makes them sick for some long time.

Most of the doctors do not understand whether it is a lyme disease rash or something else, and due to this, they tell their patients that the infection is of spider bite. So one need to understand the Lyme disease treatment and the symptoms, which will help to get cured soon. Those receive Lyme disease rash must know that it is a major symptom of Lyme disease and will later become risky if not treated on time. The rash may increase, making the area itchy. In fact, in many cases people do not experience any itchiness. Spider bites also give same reaction on the skin just like the Lyme disease, so many gets confused. However, in spider bites, which then leave rashes can be later extremely painful, but a Lyme disease rash never brings any kind of pain to the area.

Unfortunately, the Lyme disease rash occurs in very rare cases and due to that, doctors do not identify the disease at first chance. In general, the appearance of the rash seems like bull’s eye. So remember not all of the cases get the same bull’s eye appearance. Well, a Lyme disease rash is not all the time could be found at the location of the tick bite. In many cases, the rash has even resulted in misdiagnosis. In one of the case, the size of the rash even became like a quarter or silver dollar. The size of the rash may differ as per the condition. In fact, many people even got more than one rashes on the body that marks with reddish color all over.

In this case, even if the disease is not predictable at on the spot or may take time, one need to start the treatment and get rid out of such evil disease that makes the person irritative due to its itching rashes.

I’ve never heard of any link between lyme disease and bi-polar disorder.

If your friend is suicidal, perhaps he should talk to a therapist.

Patients can relapse with any and all of the original symptoms, develop new ones and progressively deteriorate as time goes by. Lyme disease can cause pain and may affect the ability to walk and may limit the range of motion. Speech, writing skills, or communication problems may worsen. Many patients become bedridden or house bound. Damage to the brain and other organs can result.

Make sure you have an effective MD that can treat Lyme and hope it’s caught early – (google some lyme sites)
for better help.
