Q&A: How Long does it take for the “bulls Eye” to come up to show you have lyme disease from a deer tick?

Friday, October 8th, 2010

Question by Miranda: How Long does it take for the “bulls Eye” to come up to show you have lyme disease from a deer tick?
If you get bit by a deer tick, it might show a ring around it to show lyme disease. How long does it take for the ring to appear?

Best answer:

Answer by Dekayel
Typically, from 1-2 weeks, though it could show up with hours and could take a month. The important thing to emphasize, however, is that the bull’s-eye only appears in an estimated 50% of cases of Lyme. So just because there hasn’t been a rash does NOT mean you are free and clear.
