Even If your dog have a lyme it cannot be transmitted from dog to human. The only agent of Lyme transmission are ticks.
Lyme doesn’t show up in 10 completely symptomless years unless there was a reinfection after another tick bite

Antibiotics and Lyme Disease are currently a controversial subject amongst the medical community. Of course, the bullseye rash, erythema chronicum migrans, is a pretty good sign of early stage Lyme disease (ringworm can mimic this though). My hospital handbook lists Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 21 days or cefuroxime axetil 500 mg twice daily for 21 days (Amoxicillin for 21 days in children).

Question by Kornrulezall: How long does the tick have to be attached before it transfers lyme disease?

The tick only needs to attach itself to you for you to contract lyme disease. If you were bitten by a tick watch for symptoms and if you see the tell tale red bullseye mark then ask you doc about getting tested for it.

Depends on which symptoms you are talking about. the initial rash can last up to a month. Flu like symptoms can last several weeks to several months. Then, if you aren’t properly treated, it can move into all kinds of other systems in your body–your joints, your heart, your brain. Without treatment, these more chronic problems can last your whole life.
