Rick Holofcener has spent more than a year with Lyme disease undiagnosed. This is his story.

My father was diagnosed with ALS almost three years ago and i’ve heard of people being wrongly diagnosed with ALS but really having Lyme disease. Is there any possibility that this could be the case for my father. Also if anyone has ever had this happen to you or a loved one please share your story.

. . . . that is, IF their condition of lyme disease is affecting their vision at all? I don’t know if I have lyme disease, by the way, and I won’t know until I see the doctor a couple of days from now. Just that in case I do have it, I can have an idea of what to expect. In addition to the severe arthritis pains I’ve been getting, chest pains, and slight eye twitches, my vision seems a bit blurrier than usual. . . . .

I was recently tested and the doctor says I have antibodies to Lyme disease in my system, but I have the same disease.
He said that at some point in my life contract, but I have now.
I've never been treated for Lyme disease!
