What should my daughter and I know about this? Is it forever, does it hurt? Will he have a life of crippling pain? Any thoughts and ideas, Please
He seems very healthy and plays high school football. I would not have known differently.

You need to go to WebMd.com and read up on Lyme’s disease. If caught early, this can be successfully treated with antibiotics and then he is considered cured. If it is caught later, it usually needs a longer period of treatment. He will not have a life of crippling pain once he is treated. If he is having joint discomfort now, he should be using some over the counter pain medication on a regular basis while being treated. I would guess his physician has already recommended this.

Now, the area there is a little bump, and part of my penis there is a rash that itches. We went camping and that’s how i got it, there also i got TONS of mosquito bites. What should i do?

I did not pull the tick out, i found it during school and when me and my mom went to pull it out, it wasn’t there

Probably not, the skin in that area is really sensitive, so any little irritation like a small tick bite could make you itch and cause that area to swell up. If you have any other symptoms like fever, muscle or joint aches, etc, go see your doctor.

I have a bug bite and it is kind of freaking me out… Yesterday night I currently found a tick in my hair and i pulled it off. It wasn’t lice for sure. It was small and it was red-ish brownish. And the day before I found the tick I had a bite on my face at my chin and i’m wondering did it come from the tick and im I gonna get lime disease? Or is it just a simple mosquito bite? The bite is really red/pink. And bumpy kind of.

No. It looks extremely similar to a normal mosquito bite, but not a tick bite. If you are still uncertain, the best way possible is to go consult medical attention immediately. Limes disease is a serious disease.

like i told you in the last question i got tested for hiv it came back negative about three months ago i was feeling sick it burned when i urinated the doctor thought it was lime disease it came back negative then he thought it could be urinary track infection or a yeast infection he gave me medicine it worked for a while but the burning, the dark colored urine, the white light crystal, the sweet smile of my urine is still occurring and its been almost 4months i also got test for STDS they all came back negative when i went to the doctors i had white blood cells in my urine which is a sign of an infection i had about 6 when i went back he said i had 5 which is just one higher then what it should be and that’s perfectly normal but now after all this testing and meds and every thing being negative im still having these symptoms im starting to believe it could be something that has to do with my kidney help what should i do

The first picture was about 5 hours before the second one. There are two visible bites; one at the center of the spot, and one about 0.5 inches down. We noticed it today, it wasn’t there yesterday, and I didn’t notice any ticks.

I’m not sure if Lime disease shows up on dogs the same way it shows up on humans, but usually on humans the ring is a lot bigger than that, and it shows up a few days later.

Ringworm could be a possibility. However no one here will be able to tell definitely. Take him/her to the vet.

My boyfriend stayed home all last week from school because he had Broncitus (don’t know how to spell these things), an ear infection, and either lime disease or west nile in his neck. He went to the doctor last Monday and I stayed at his house from last Friday and left on Monday morning. I started getting a cold around Tuesday-ish bt now my back and neck hurts, my ears hurt, my head hurts, stomach, and still kind of cold things. Is it possible that I could have ended up with the same thing as him? Is there any other illnesses that have these symptoms?? My mom is making a doctor apointment today after work but I don’t want to go because I’m scared of needles and I cry when I get shots, is there a way that I won’t cry infront of anyone while there doing it?

You might of contracted whatever combination of things your boyfriend had unfortunately we cannot help you too much unless you go and see that doctor! Dont worry about the needles, usually they just prick your finger to draw blood these days. Oh and they have seen it ALL im sure, you wouldnt be the first to be afraid to go to the doctors. Just look at it this way, they’ll prick your finger, do some tests and give you some meds to cure whatever ailments you have. Simple right? Good luck!

It’s been about a week and it started as a red lump and it looked like some blood vessels popped. So I thought maybe I accidentally bumped myself or it was a nasty pimple. However, it didn’t go away. Since I’ve been a compulsive skin picker since I was a kid, I picked at it till it bled. Though the wound itself scabbed up and healed, the lump didn’t. Now there’s a reddish ring around it. I looked up Flesh Eating Bacteria and Lime Disease. Both are not it. I tried to google it and a lot of the websites with the keywords were on breast cancer websites. Obviously I was freaking out but there’s more than likely a less scary answer to my bizarre bloody bump.
Also, I want a more constructive answer and not “see a doctor.” Though yes, this is always the best thing to do in this kind of situation, but you must understand, I have no money and no insurance. The only kind of free clinics around here are not in walking distance and last time I went to one, I was basically told I had to be pregnant in order to go to a free clinic.

Hmmmm – we had a retreaver like this – and started losing hair. Turned out he had an alergy to processed food –

we fed him rice and boiled chicken and loads of GReen Tripe – yeuch. Worked though – stopped all skin problems.
